Beschreibung
This beautiful 1964 Triumph TR4 has been the subject of a total restoration, during which the bodywork has been meticulously restored and repainted in deep blue. Chromed wire wheels compliment the finish and the underside is to the same high standard. The car comes with the very practical Surrey hard-top with its original headlining and it also has the rare and desirable white dashboard panel.
The lusty 2138cc engine pulls strongly and the car accelerates really well with a positive gear shift and firm brakes, all complemented by a sports exhaust. This can be enjoyed to the full with the centre section of the hard top removed and the rear section left in place to create a targa set up if desired.
Within the history file are original titles with various owners dating back to 1977. In the year 2000 a BMI Heritage Trust certificate was issued confirming that TR4 chassis CT/ 3195-L was manufactured in the UK at Canley, Coventry in 1964. The history file also contains receipts for work carried out, photos of the car prior to restoration and older MOT inspections. To attain FIA papers, a 4 speed gearbox has recently been installed but the original matching numbers gearbox with overdrive remains with the car.
This well presented TR4 is ready to use and offers a dynamic opportunity for both road use and, with FIA papers, a new experience either on the track or regularity events.
Part exchange considered.
