As the story goes, originally supplied to a Premiership Footballer then sold to a wealthy London businessman to use as his 'country car' when at his house out of town, used sparingly and dry stored in a barn when not in use. It then found its way to an elderly friend of the businessman who treasured it and only used it on dry, sunny days. The condition then, is as you would expect - brilliant! The bodywork is free of any damage, rust or corrosion and the same is true of the alloy wheels. The interior too is exceptional. The car was supplied with a MINI TLC pack from new, which was extended to 8 years via the MINI TLCXL package. Since the car's 8th anniversary it has been to various independent garages and has been well maintained. It was serviced last week and the brake fluid was changed at the same time. I think I am correct in saying the car had every factory option available in 2002 and had aero side skirts and genuine and very rare 18" Alpina alloy wheels fitted by the supplying dealer.
The car is totally original. The only thing that's changed is the radio but the original is supplied with the car (the newer one offers DAB, bluetooth and music streaming). Even the original dealer sticker, handbooks, salesman's business card, bookpack and key rings are still with the car. There are three keys (one of which brand new). The rear tyres are showing signs of perishing and there is some surface corrosion on a rear backbox, but otherwise the car is totally without fault.
The term 'future classic', is overused but this is certainly destined for classic status and I'm sure I'll regret selling it.
I am open to sensible and realistic offers.
