Description
Update - this bike is now consigned to the Bonham's auction at Staffordshire in April. Please see the Bonham's online catalogue guy more information.
1938 Rudge Ulster motorcycle (bronze head). Numbers match the buff (1948) logbook and current V5C. Original transferable registration. Manufactured Oct 1937 (1938 model year) and first registered 19 October 1938. 7 confirmed previous owners (4 on the buff logbook and 3 on the V5C - so 4 owners in the past 40+ years). Complete and original, everything works as it should.
Recently professionally refurbished correct 120 mph Smith's chronometeric speedometer was reset to 0 but showed 34XXX prior to overhaul (new speedo drive cable to be fitted). Replica 8-day Smith's time clock for this rare dual guage machine. Matching gearbox side cover included but not pictured.
Buff logbook, old and current V5C and numerous old MOTs, tax discs etc. Starts first kick and effortlessly cruises at 70+ mph (faster with the right rider) and stops nicely with the (ahead of it's time) linked brake system.
Well maintained and always dry stored. Brilliant bike in top condition. Long term ownership. Ready to ride.
