The Rudge is fitted with a powerful 500 cc OHV engine with four valves, four speed gearbox, girder front forks and huge 8 inch front and rear brakes - which features helped Rudge being highly competitive and modern in its time.
The ignition system consists of an ML magneto and dynamo, carburation is provided by an Amal carburettor. Further equipments include ML electric headlamp and Miller rear light, tool- and battery boxes and a steering damper as well.
The Rudge Special runs and rides fine (video on request).
Engine and frame numbers are correct originals for the production year of 1929. This very attractive four valve Rudge Special has been nicely restored in Finland at some years ago.
