For sale is my beloved 1991 Lancia Delta HF Turbo IE. This car has been my daily driver for the last year, and despite Lancia's reputation, has been incredibly reliable. The car has a full 12 month MOT with no advisories.
As you can see from the pictures, the car is in fantastic condition for its age. I had planned to keep the car and make it perfect, but I've just got a new job that requires a fair amount of driving, and it seems a shame to put so many miles on such a well kept example of a rare car.
According to the website 'howmanyleft', there are only 33 of these cars currently registered in the UK, with most of them being aftermarket right hand drive conversions. Being a left hand drive example, this Delta maintains its quick rack steering and superior handling, making it more sought after by collectors and thus more valuable.
The car began its life in the Netherlands, before relocating to Northern Ireland with its owner, Mr Hulsman, in 1998. In 2000, the car was sold to a Mr Jeffers, who brought the car with him to England and kept it until his death in 2020.
All of this information, along with extensive records of services and repairs, can be found in the full folder of service history that comes with the car. It's clear that the car was well cared for throughout its life and I have continued that tradition.
This car turns heads wherever it goes.
All the electrics work as they should and the car drives perfectly, pulling hard once the turbo kicks in.
There is a small ding on the roof and some damage to the front wheel arches from when I mistakenly had the wrong size tyres fitted. I was quoted £150 to repair both arches but as I need the car for work I haven't had the time to get it sorted.
The interior of the car is immaculate other than a rip on the driver's side bolster. It even comes with the original parcel shelf and toolkit, items which are both highly sought after by Integrale owners missing them on their own cars.
Over the last year I have spent around £800 on the car, as well as doing my own maintenance at home. This includes new tyres all round, new oil and filters, a full coolant system flush, a new lamda sensor and a new fuel tank feeding pipe. As mentioned earlier, the car has just passed its MOT with flying colours.
Also be aware that although the odometer is in kilometres, some garages have recorded it as miles on previous MOTs, which may mean that the car gets flagged as having a mileage discrepancy on some HPI reports.
The prices of these cars are rising fast and if I had somewhere to store it I wouldn't be selling. You will likely never see another one like this with this amount of history.
