Hi,
For sale is my Subaru Impreza UK2000 Turbo. A fantastic drivers car that will put a smile on your face during a daily commute or down your favourite B-road. This car is great mechanically and I will provide a comprehensive advert to avoid time wasting.
Purchased from my friend a year ago who owned it since 2017 where he carried out various maintenance and used the car daily with occasional weekend gravel/ slalom event. My plan was to restore it to my standards and use as a weekend and track toy. I’m a manufacturing engineer by trade and a huge car enthusiast that had over 10 Impreza/ Legacy/ SVX before. I carried out all the work to a high standard, the plan was to go a lot further and upgrade the brakes, shocks and carry on improving it but I rarely find time for it. I’m focusing on building my Skyline so decided to put it up for sale before the summer season.

HPI: Clean (MyCarCheck Comprehensive Certificate printed on 06. 03. 2021).
Engine:
Original EJ20 UK2000 with Prodrive and minor upgrades. Starts on the button, runs and drives smoothly with great power delivery and economy. Fitted with gauges so is always warmed up/ cooled down, only V-Power petrol was used. No smoke, knocks or rattles. Makes a lovely rather quiet legendary flat 4 sound.

Gearbox:
5 Speed Manual gearbox. Near new clutch and no grinding in to any gear at tested rpm. Driveshafts and differential are all in good condition too.

-Drilled and slotted brake calipers
Exterior:
Finished in very rare and unique Acadia Green Metallic. Looks amazing with golden wheels which are also included.

-R15 pepper pot alloy wheels with MAXXIS GreenLine M+S Winter/ Gravel tyres (As pictured)
-R16 Speedline period specific gold wheels with old Profil semi slick tyres (Included if full price is paid)

Standard facelift black cloth interior.

Service history:
05. 06. 21 136525 NGK Spark plugs torqued to spec, area and electrical connectors cleaned/ resistance checked on leads etc. Genuine sump plug+washer, oil filter and fuel filter. Millers Nanodrive 10w40 . New BOSCH Battery, black floor mats.
06. 03. 21 136681 Deep clean and inspection. Drivers side wheel arch and sill area stripped of plastics, cleaned, any bubbling or signs of rust scraped to bare metal and sealed with Hydrate80 + etch primer + underseal. Same work carried out in the boot area and whole undercarpet interior (pictures included). Interior seats and carpets have been cleaned and wet hoovered. Please note that the passenger side was wheel arch and sill area was washed off and cleaned but not sealed as the rest. 09. 08. 19 135778 Bonchurch Garage Oil change, arb links (£115)

Faults:
The car is over 22 years old and has been enjoyed so the faults are mainly cosmetical, mechanically the car can be used daily.
-Bodywork is the biggest let down, it has various scratches and dents.
-Both rear arches are rusted at the bumper mount point
-Small square hole in front of both rear shocks in the common area for these to go
-Sticky starter (makes a noise for 1sec after starting). The car starts half a turn and is unaffected by it
-No rear speakers
-Driver side rocker cover has a slight leak (common problem). Genuine gasket kit included for both sides
-Drivers mirror glass has a crack (was going to look for green complete mirrors which are around £40 for the pair)
-Front drivers tyre looses 10-15psi a week so needs to be refitted (Was not planning to keep these wheels so didn’t bother me)
So to summarise, it’s a genuine car from an enthusiast that has been slowly restored but as any older jap car needs further perfecting. It’s really hard to find a decent Impreza now days and I hope a honest description will help you decide if this car is the one.
