TP 9063 is an original four seat tourer very much as it left the factory but having the benefit of a restoration in 1986 by Clifford Gott in Downham Market.
Power comes from 11. 9hp 1480cc Hotchkiss type four cylinder side valve engine with magneto ignition (plus having a new Bosch battery 70AH) drives through a manual three speed gearbox, a full set of original dashboard instruments. The upholstery is in very good order as is the rest of the trim.
All wheels are of Artillery type standard fit, with tyres in good order. Paint work is presentable but is in need of a little TLC. The Hood and side screens are present.
On the running board is a well stocked built in tool box.
Historical notes on the file indicate that the motor car was owned by a Reginald Moore also the owner of the Dargate Motor Museum near Canterbury during the 1980s where his friend used the Morris for Rallies most weekends, including the London to Cambridge Run.
Recently the fuel tank has been taken out and cleaned, a new Bosch battery new set of plugs and complete oil change, resulting in excellent performance in starting and running, the history shows the gearbox was striped and rebuilt by Auto Europe in 2008.
I’m selling the Morris because I have unexpectedly been able to purchase another car and unfortunately I haven’t the room to keep this one also. I have no hesitate in recommending this car she does exactly what she is supposed to do, a lovely car needing just a little TLC.
