ROVER 220 GTI HATCHBACK
Fresh into stock this week is the super rare 90’s british hatchback very rarely seen for sale as most have been lost to uneconomical repairs.
This british racing green 89000 mile example comes to us having had a large amount of recommissioning in the last year or so to get it back to its best.
Works carried out are as follows:
corrosion to rear arches and sill backs cut out and replaced with fresh metal
cylinder head removed, refaced, new cylinder head gasket, reground and new valve stem seals fitted
cam belt replaced
new battery, spark plugs, oil, air, fuel and oil filter all replaced
fuel tank dropped, system flushed and new fuel pump fitted
brake system flushed, new fluids and pads all round.
the front lower suspension arms and cv boots were replaced at the same time also.
It rides on matching Dunlop tyres all round and drives without fault! Once all the above was completed back in January the vehicle was treated to a fresh MOT so is now valid up to January 2023.
A full respray has also been undertaken so the vehicle presents very well on the body and it has also been treated to a waxoyl treatment so ensuring longevity to the underside also going forward. There are a couple of very minor marks on the alloy wheels although not heavily kerbed. The majority of the interior is in excellent condition although there are two small wear marks to the edge of the drivers seat.
There are very few of these cars left and nothing I can find for sale barring some “project” cars so this represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase and enjoy one of these fantastic hot hatchbacks .
