Extremely rare Reliant SE4 Coupe for sale which just requires finishing off and is reluctantly sold for genuine reason.
A small fortune has been spent getting it to this stage and it will make a fine car for the discerning enthusiast and will be worth a small fortune as well as most completed ones are selling for 12k upwards.
I will list first what it has been done and then what it requires to be finished.
The bodywork is straight and true with no microblisters or crazing to the fibreglass, it was resprayed to a race car standard red several years ago and would benefit from a good machine polish to get it to its best.
The engine(essex v6) was started a few years back and showed good oil pressure and sounded extremely healthy, it was said to have uprated cams but cannot confirm this, has 4 speed with Overdrive gearbox and new clutch.
The original radiator has been recored at great expense as I was told to stay away fro the aftermarket items by the owners club and it keeps the original look.
It has had a complete overhaul of the hydraulic and brake systems.
New servo, master brake and clutch cylinders with new copper lines from front to back. The front brakes have been rebuilt with stainless steel pistons and refreshed at the rear. Front and rear suspension has been rebuilt with new gaiters and bushes etc.
The chassis has had heavy duty outriggers fitted and is in spotless condition not a speck of the nasty orange stuff.
Front fibreglass custom lightweight bumper and it also has SE5 arches to give it a wider more purposeful look.
To finish all the car needs is the Interior refitting and wiring. The car will come with 2 sport seats and harnesses and the originals but they need recovering. Dashboard and door cards are fitted and the guages need wiring up.
An exhaust needs to be fitted and the pipes will come with the car.
The car will come with all the spares needed to finish and more to keep it on the road for years to come such as starter motors and alternators etc. Sits on minilites with good tread however they are old and will need replacing. As I said an easy project and will make a great car.
