Description
* Relisted due to time wasters*. Due to lack of storage I have unfortunately decided to sell my black w126 1989 S class. I have owned this car for coming up to three years, before it was owned by an older gentleman whose arthritis forced him to sell. He had dried stored the vehicle for the 15+ years he owed it, myself for the last 3 years but currently sat on my father in laws drive due to lack of garage space. In the time I have owned the car I have done minimal mileage, using it for the odd weekend trip and sunny drives to work equating to about 3, 000 miles if that. The car has 3 previous owners and comes with part service history / maintenance works.
I have had it serviced by a local garage every year, sat currently with an MOT until 30th June 2022. Front brakes where overhauled at the end of last summer, along with handbrake adjustments. 3 arches where re-sprayed and overhauled last year, due to surface scratches not rust build up. Overall the car is really straight, and with minimal work could be perfect. All electrics work correctly in the car, windows, sunroof etc. The interior is like new, on purchasing the car from the previous owner he insured me no one had sit on the rear seats in his ownership.
The negatives to mention:
- There is a small rust bubble on the windscreen surround
- Occasionally the ABS light illuminates, I’ve done no digging to find out why
- Small scuff on front and rear bumpers from previous owner
Overall the car is in great condition, starts every time and is easily the most reliable “classic” I’ve owned. With minimal work this could be perfect, looking at the current pricing of these cars I feel it is listed for a very good price and I hope it is purchased by another classic car enthusiast. Please email me for further pictures or questions.
