Here is my 1966 toyota (toyopet) corona rt40.
this vehicle is virtually rust (and repair) free. It was imported by myself from japan in 2018.
the vehicle passed its first uk mot with a couple of advisories, and gave a year of great trouble free driving. The car has been garaged since 2019 after i ran out of time to use it.
it is a very original, un-messed with example. It has the early column change automatic gearbox.
the vehicle starts, drives, changes gear and stops as it should.
there is no current mot as she has been garaged for the last three years. When a new mot is put on, this car will qualify to be mot except.
the vehicle is tax exempt.
this car was once fitted with air conditioning, which has long since been removed, though the vent panels in place of glove box remains.
it has an old respray which is starting to show its age, mainly in the location of the rear pillars (where badges should be fitted).
the car will probably require some light recommissioning before use again. It starts and moves/ stops fine up and down my drive.
