Here we have for sale our stunning Honda VTR1000 SP2 "Castrol". This superb example has covered 14, 257 miles and is currently available in our showroom.
Our UK 2002 bike is supplied in its original form complete with standard Honda stamped exhausts and also comes with the rear pegs and pillion seat, original hand book and service book showing 9 stamps the latest of those carried out in April 2021 at 14, 008 miles. There is also a folder of supporting documents including the original Colin Edwards Castrol Racing Team invite for the 2002 Brands Hatch World Superbike event that was offered when the bike was purchased new. The package is completed with a host of old MOT's and various service invoices and old Dyno test sheeets. The bike will benefit from a further service prior to sale.
The SP1 helped Honda achieve an important World super bike Championship victory in 2000 after three years of disappointment dominated by the powerful v-twin Ducati's. However in 2000 The Honda VTR-SP1 also featured a 90-degree V-twin contributing to its championship success. After the success of the VTR1000 SP-1 Honda's updated SP2 introduced a new press-forged longer swingarm, more rigid frame/ engine interface, improved fuel injection with 12 jet injectors for more power, 30mm taller screen for better protection, better looking indicators, new exhaust system, new 5-spoke wheel design and radiator fans both sides. Dry weight down from 199kg to 194kg.
This bike is as much at home on the track as it is on a Sunday afternoon ride out and there cannot be a better example currently on the market for sale.
