Here we have my Mazda MX5 Arizona, MOT till mid May 2023 (almost full), 96k mileage with stamped service history upto 2018 with receipts. Rare limited edition with only 400 produced in blazed yellow mica. Very high spec, with heated seats, AC, ABS, power steering and windows, black leather seats, CD player, also has Nardi Leather Steering wheel and remote central locking with immobiliser fob. Original spec Enkei Mazda alloys with Toyo Proxes tyres in excellent condition. Mazda booklets and leather folder with history.
I’m an MX5 enthusiast and have owned some of the rarest MX5’s, I can honestly say this is one of the best MX5’s I’ve driven, no knocks or bangs, the engine feels punchy and being the 1. 6 which really is the best engine imo on these earlier cars it revs freely and just keeps going. Steering is precise, and the car feels very planted when fast cornering. If I had the garage space I would definitely be tidying it up and keeping.
Cambelt changed recently, interior is nice and tidy, underneath looks very clean, sills are solid, only let down is rust bubbling on the arches which I was planning on having tidied up but due to having too many cars I just don’t have the time. Windscreen corner has a small crack which has been treated – this is not visible as on the black edge of passenger side and only like 2 inches edge to edge so does not effect driving in any way – £50 to have replaced with windscreen cover on insurance so not the end of the world. Soft top is in decent condition with no leaks and glass heated screen on rear. Despite the rust bubbling on arches the car still looks great, with a little tidy up it would make a fantastic car for someone, or just use and enjoy as is with a long MOT.
Car gets loads of attention as you can imagine and really does look and drive lovely. I know the first person to drive it will buy it as it drives better than any standard MK1 I own or have owned – and I own one of the rarest! Priced to sell, I have seen practically the same car sell for spares and repairs at what I’m asking so a good deal for someone. Strictly no timewasters, if you are just browsing cars and not sure you want to buy a MK2 MX5 then please don’t waste my time or your own. Also I don’t have time to send 20 pics to 20 different people so if you are interested please give me a call to discuss or come down and view/ drive the car.
