Please read all the listing carefully. This great old truck had some rust issues with the cab floor. The decision was made to rectify this as it was clearly putting off many potential buyers .
We have stripped the truck apart, front fenders off, grill off, doors off, cut out all the existing panels with rot and welded correct quality replacement panels in. It has had new floor panels, both nearside and offside inner cowls(kick panels) plus both outer cowls. Any rot around the cab has been cut out and replaced with new steel. Both side bottom of the A pillar/ fender bottom have also been cut out and replaced.
We have also fitted a new original lovely straight used grill as the original one fitted was quite bashed about. The grill has been primed in matt black rust converter/ primer ready for chosen top coat colour.
The upshot- THIS IS NOW A SUPER SOLID STRAIGHT TRUCK . WE HAVE SPENT £3000 IN PARTS AND LABOUR ON THIS FABRICATION WORK SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO. ONLY OFFERS CLOSE TO ASKING WILL BE CONSIDERED, THIS IS NOW AS STRAIGHT AND SOLID AS ANY CHEVY 3100 OUT THERE.
This lovely old truck has recently arrived from the States and is now UK registered with V5 and black/ silver number plates fitted. It is readvertised due to timewasters.
Super rare super cool super desirable 1951 Chevy 3100 5 WINDOW 1st series half ton pickup, it's a very solid truck having lived in a high altitude state most of its life.
The truck was originally blue but lighter than the repaint it has had many years ago.

Until a few months ago this truck was used on a fortnightly basis. It lived high in the mountains of Washington State and was used as a grocery getter and to carry recycling down to the nearby town. The old guy that owned it has used it regularly for the last 36 years!
The truck starts runs drives and stops well. It has been well maintained throughout the years and starts on the button.
There is a receipt from 1991 in the last owners name showing an engine rebuild costing $1384. She starts easily and runs well, no smoke no rattles.
We have fitted new windscreen glass and rubbers plus door main glass both sides and rear cab glass and rubber too.
Also fitted new door handles and latch mechanisms.

This is an old vehicle and will always require a certain amount of "tinkering" to keep on the road.
You can either buy yourself an £8k scrapper recently dragged from out of a field, then spend a further £8k on getting it in some sort of useable shape or you can buy a genuine identity "proper" example of an historic vehicle that will only gain in value over the years! I only import genuine proper old trucks.
Sourcing , procuring and shipping these vehicles is a time consuming and expensive task. Everything has increased in price due to the pounds weakness since the brexit vote. The values of these vehicles are only going one way
