A very special car and rare opportunity to acquire a crendon cobra 427, built to the absolute highest of standards & specification with no expense spared, chassis number cr0048, one of the last rolling chassis assembled by john kerr, there are many copies of the cobra out there but arguably none as close to the original as this one, the body shape is base on an original cobra buck, the chassis is a modern built (mig & tig wielded) copy of the original 4" tubular frame plus it is powder coated to prevent any future rust, this was a project which i always dreamed of bringing to fruition and indeed took some years which due to a change in circumstances i'm very regrettably selling, when i embarked on the build i was lucky enough to be allowed special access to view & photograph the original cobra at beaulieu motor museum to ensure every single detail was as close as possible to the original, fitted with a 7407cc, ford big block v8 456 cubic inches which was fully rebuilt by southern automotive of atlanta america by bill parnham whom earlier in his career worked & supplied engines to carrol shelby, the engine is race prepared & built in atlanta to race specification & rated at 505 hp on the test bed, fitted with edelbrock heads & holley double pumper carbs, original 4 speed top loader gearbox also rebuilt by southern automotive of atlanta, image halibrand wheels to crendon design these are a unique design replicating the original wheels, external chrome side pipes, thatcham approved alarm & immobiliser, painted to an extremely high standard in british racing green with blended silver stripe by pitt - lane autos, owned by myself from new and only every garage stored, 12 months Mot. serviced with full inspection carried out about 100 miles ago, reams of documentation & also pictures of the build, an unbelievable experience & special car to drive, please don't hesitate to call me if you require any further information.
