Our beautiful example was one family owned for over 20 years and comes with one of the most comprehensive history files we have ever seen. Low mileage (is there a lower mileage one out there?), comprehensive history supported by receipts from new, in beautiful condition, this is one to buy, drive, take to shows, enjoy and keep, a real enthusiast / investment opportunity and still affordable, but for how long?
In fact, we have a pair of modern classic Vauxhall coupes, we are also preparing for sale the Tigra’s bigger brother, a similarly lovely, low mileage, 1997, Calibra SE8 16v. Why not buy the pair?
Our immaculate, original Tirga 1. 4 16v is a real Millennial, having been registered in Aug 2000, the last year of Tigra production. According to “how many left” there are only 137, 1. 4 16v Tirga’s left and only 25 of those are on the road, a further 112 are sorn’d, we assume they are put away as investments, part of collections or sadly in a bad way.
W621NDA was first registered on 25/ 8/ 2000, having covered an exceptionally low 9, 614 miles from new, that’s an average of less than 450 miles a year.
It was supplied new by Marehay (Vauxhall Main Dealers in Ripley, Derbyshire). The original bill of sale is in the fascinating history folder for £10, 845 (including £234. 05 plus vat, for metallic paint and mud flaps). It has had just 4 former keepers, 3 believed to be from the same family until December 2021.
Our last of the line Tigra ours is presented in virtually unmarked Metallic Polar Sea Blue Paint (very metallic Blue / Purple), complimented by almost unmarked (looks brand new inside) Grey Chequers interior.
Our lovely Tigra comes with a huge history file that seems to cover almost every penny spent on the car over the years, including 9 services and 2 cam belt changes. In the original service book there are 5 service records (by the supplying Vauxhall Main Dealers), plus invoices for a further 4 services (including 2 cam belt changes). We have just had it independently serviced and the cam belt changed at 9, 542 miles.
Its MOT history backs up its very low mileage as genuine, the most recent was passed with no advisories and expires 25/ 4/ 23. Every MOT certificate from new are in the Tigra’s file. It will have a fresh MOT for the new lucky owners benefit.
The original alloys are virtually unmarked and sport recent 185/ 55/ 15 tyres with 7mm of tread on the front and brand new rears.
Standard and safety equipment was comprehensive on the last of the line Tigra’s, as a it came with air conditioning (just re-gassed) as standard, this is accompanied by: drivers air bag, front electric windows, electric door mirrors, power steering, central locking and CAR300 cassette player.
Our rare Tigra even comes with full book packs, including original wallet, containing: Sureguard booklet, Service Location Guide, Audio Manual and code card, Vauxhall Assistance booklet, key code card, supplying dealer tax disc holder and 2 working keys with supplying dealer key fob. In the boot are warming triangle, Vauxhall 1st Aid Kit, unused steel spare wheel, jack, wheel brace and tools.
In the comprehensive folder of information, there is even original and rare Dealer Brochure for the 2000 Tigra, and contemporary Vauxhall price list.
It will have an independent 90+ point pre delivery inspection, for the new owners benefit. It is of course HPI clear and a full HPI report will be available to potential purchasers.

It does of course have the odd age related imperfection (which used car doesn’t), but for its age and mileage it really is excellent.
