1961 Ford Special built in NZ for the track and hill climbs, specially for racing, by someone who really knew what they were doing. Built on a substantial chassis, the build quality of this car is really good. The engine is race-tuned and she hates idling.... she just wants to go and go... and she is quick! As you can see it bears no resemblance to a Cheetah in this country. I bought it off a New Zealander who raced it in Wellington and he said there were 10 made, but I've never been able to find any more history of these cars on the web and have never seen another. One of a kind and she really is a thoroughbred. I imported it to the UK about 15 years ago and it is now registered here and MOT'd. She is MOT and tax exempt. She is very suited for hill climbs, or road use.
Fiberglass body, Ford pre cross flow 1500cc, twin Webers. Circumstances force sale, we are going travelling, hopefully for about 5 years and it would be a shame to leave her lying for that time... she needs to be raced.
