Beschreibung
A Honda Camino Deluxe Special moped first registered 01 March 1982. The Deluxe model differs from the basic bike by a one colour scheme (silver or blue), chrome mudguards, a rear spring loaded rack and an uprated headlight. It has telescopic forks and rear suspension with chrome springs.
The bike was used in Grimsby until 1986 and then carefully laid up until I took it on last year. It had been looked after and was very clean with original chromework in excellent condition but of course it had had a life and the transmission was worn out.
The front variator has been replaced with a new Polini unit and the matching rear pulley was uprated with one from a later model which works much better than the earlier design. The bike has a simple twist and go automatic Very much like a bicycle to ride but with the engine to push you along.
The paintwork has all been renewed including new old stock decals, new tyres, the wheels just needed a little tweek of the spokes to have them running true. The carburettor was gummed up with old fuel and has been replaced with a new unit. The exhaust had a rust hole and a new one fitted, and many of the fasteners have been replaced with stainless items. Basically, it is as close to a new machine as you are likely to find.
The V5 is in my name, there is a folder with original sales documentation, (£275 new!), owners and workshop manuals, receipts and an original sales brochure.
The bike is in Halifax, viewing welcome.
