This is a truly compitent family estate and load lugger and under rated by the usual premium badge followers. However, as Citroen owners for nearly 40 years, we having had most models of large Citroens (BX?s, XM?s, even a DS Safari etc), this rates amongst the most comfortable ever and with the Hydractive 3 suspension it handles really well. Additionally, the power at 240BHP from the twin turbo V6, makes driving effortless. This car is not to be confused with the lesser Hdi's available - this is truly in a different league. Despite the larger engine and higher horsepower, economy isn't sacrificed to the extent that you're afraid to drive it. I can manage easily around 550 miles on a full tank. And roadtax is in the medium bracket.
Condition: the car is in excellent overall condition but not concours as it has been in use everyday as the family car, occasionally as a tow car for a small trailer as well. Both bumpers have a few marks on them, the alloys could do with a refurb but aren't too bad. Interior is good too with light wear for Citroens of this era on the door handles and touch points. But everything works and is functional ..
FULL SERVICE HISTORY - the car has been looked after well by previous owners and we have maintained this and more. In August 2020 it was treated to a timing belt service, a new Bosch S5 battery ( the correct size and amp) was fitted to replace a smaller inadequate battery; EGRs were giving bother but this was completely sorted; top quality Michelin Cross climate tyres fitted all round.
The car had full oil service in May 2022 as well and general checkover with nothing to report. MOT passed June 2022 with no advisories. There are not many of these cars about, indeed when new they were not sold in big numbers. The price definitely represents the condition and mileage of the car. There are more expensive ones out there, possibly in better condition though - at around £9k. There are cheaper ones too, if course - usually the lower powered ones.
