Hi. Here we have for sale is a Honda Civic Type R EK9 race / track rolling shell.
I’ll start with the bad bits. The front foot wells need looking at. A section of the passenger side will need cutting out. I’ve taken it. Back to bare metal and treated it in the mean time. There is the usual surface rust around the car but nothing else serious. The rear arches are good aswell as above the fuel tank. It comes with a kswap loom and a dc5 engine loom I would however recommend going over the dash and interior loom, it was sorted by someone else and I’m not over happy on the way they had done it.

Spec as follows -
low mileage shell.
Fully prepped with a proper 12 point "custom cages" weld in roll cage (painted Takata green). Fully gusseted. Throughout pillars, bulkhead to engine bay turrets (suspension pickup points) Cost over £2500 supplied and fitted professionally with reinforcement plates. Fully certified roll cage gives you the ability to compete in FIA and International events etc. (Not a cheap chucked together cage) substantial added chassis rigidity with the piece of mind you will walk away safely!
Tilton brake bias valve setup with braided lines routed inside

Lighter DC2 subframe and steering rack stripped, power steering removed correctly and rebuilt with new seals and bushes.(previously k swap)

Custom widened front and rear arches that have been painstakingly made from metal no filler! This allows the use of wider wheels. Very well made by ex btcc engineer. Rear arches are only slightly wider than standard. You wouldn't know they are flared from rear unless you compare to a standard one that's how well it's made. (Follows body line etc ) drivers needs to be blown back in after I chipped off two small pieces of paint on the lip
Authentic Shift sports jdm vented carbon bonnet (needs relaquer) but nice and straight no cracks etc. Comes complete with genuine aerocatches. Very lightweight and strong.

Has a slight dent on drivers door and rear quarter (looks like a car door has opened and hit it) no other dents on the car. Very straight and true
Was previously running a k20 engine swap hence the DC2 rack and subframe but another B series can easily be put back in using same subframe. So you are basically getting a low mileage caged EK9 as per pictures just without running gear and seats. Will come with another set of wheels. Currently rolling on standard suspension.
Ideal competition race car, track, hillclimb etc. Extremely light!
Serious interest only. This isn't a average ek9 with a cheap bolt in.
