1993 Rover Mini 1275 Cooper S (John Cooper Garages) in classic British Racing Green with a white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. This is a unique and very special mini. It has been owned for the last 29 years by the same passionate and hyper careful owner. This has been his baby and has been cared for and maintained by him from new. He was present to witness it coming off the transporter from the factory to the dealer and also had to oversee the special John Cooper Garages conversion taking the power to 82 bhp. At no stage would he leave the mini out of his sight. It has been stored in a dehumidified garage from new and NEVER WASHED only dry cleaned. It was FULLY wax oiled by him from new fully protecting the underside areas which have never seen salt or water due to the waxoil barrier. He has changed the oil using Millers 20 / 50 twice a year. It has never had an MOT advisory as he pre MOT’s it himself prior to the test. It has had seat covers on the seats from new. The walnut dashboard is an extra and was supplied by John Cooper Garages. He also fitted 2 extra gauges to the dashboard (he kept the wooded cutouts from the dash which are supplied!!) Giving oil pressure and oil temperature. When on the road the mini feels tight and precise which reflects the remarkable level of care and time that has gone into maintaining this Cooper S. The steering, brakes and overall feel and balance are very sharp and as good as I have ever experienced. The engine is smooth and responsive and the car still has its John Cooper Garages Janspeed rear exhaust box which is very rarely seen at this age. In the history file there are pictures of the car being converted to Cooper S. Pictures also of John Cooper standing by the car which are very special. I have the signed John Cooper conversion certificate, the original book pack, past MOT’s and both sets of keys. It has covered just 25500 miles from new by one owner. This is a super rare ‘one owner’ time warp mini which will give its new owner something really special to carry on caring for. Due to the care shown to date if garaged it could look much the same in another 20 years time.
