I’ve had this Caterham for a good number of years with a view to building a pre 1980 live axle race car. The car came to me as a complete 1987 De-Dion 7 that had been hillclimbed and sprinted. The axle was converted to Ford English with A bar and top links using existing suspension brackets.
I’m hoping to sell the car as a project with all the new and used parts however the gearbox (£1000), wheels and tyres (£500) engine (£500) can be omitted from the sale if desired.
New Parts include: 20 litre alloy tank, 4 Gaz shocks and springs, Aero screen, rear brake shoes and cylinders, alloy bell housing, propshaft.
Used Parts: clam and cycle wings, fibre race seat, 6 point Sabelt harness (2021) dated, compomotive 7j x13 alloys and 052 Yokohama 205x60x13 tyres, Quaife pro rocket box 2. 2 1st gear all rebuilt and tested before dummy fitting. Everything in the photos also.
There is no diff in the axle and NO V5, car will need trailered.
Total price is £6000 and £4000 without gearbox, engine, wheels/ tyres.
