The F225 is [a specialist edition](- details above details below/- details above) of the 2. 0L Duratec engine used by Caterham, built by well known and highly regarded engine tuners Premier Power.
As the name suggest, this version of the engine increases the power output of Caterham’s standard Duratec to 225bhp, but also significantly improves the torque and drivability.
This F225 started its life as a 360R, and as such comes with Caterham’s lightweight flywheel, clutch and limited slip differential. As well as all of the other R-spec options like uprated brakes. Totally stripped out, this F225R comes with Caterham’s carbon fibre Aeroscreen and mirrors, creating one of the most amazingly viseral driving experiences anywhere on the planet. Combine that with the Premier Power engine, sporting its uncovered foam air filter prodtruding out of the side of the bonnet, this Seven is loud, lairy and very very fast!
