For sale: our completely restored 1914 Harley-Davidson -sidecar combination.
It is a 2 cylinder Model E10 chaindrive with matching crankcase and cylinders (original) numbers. The sidecar is a original, very rare, only 1 year official delivered model by Harley-Davidson. The sidecar was made for Harley by Rogers-sidecars. After 1914 Harley made his own sidecars but that was a totally different model.
The combination has a Dutch registration!
The engine is complet rebuild by Antiquebikes- Sweden. Has for example new valves / guides, pistons and crankshaft / big-end, incl bearings. The original magneto has been overhauled by Magneto Ignition Supplies Ltd and works perfect. The combination has original color. The color was discovert under several layers of paint. The nickle plating has been renewed.
The gastank and separate oiltank, with integrated toolbox ( model 1914) are replaced by perfect aftermarket parts from the U. S. A.
The combination is ready for running but hasn’t run yet. I have not filed her up with patrol or oil because of possible smell ( when you show it in a boardroom, office or shop). If the buyer wants I can fill her with oil and petrol and start / drive the combination ( after fine tuning magneto and carburator). Valuation report is available. The bike is located in the area of Almelo in the Netherlands
