For sale is this low mileage low owner Renault Sport Clio 172 (Phase 1) from 2001.
This cars service history is amazing with a huge folder with pretty much every receipt ever, including it’s original bill of sale. It has recently had a major service, including fresh coolant, gearbox oil, updated brake fluid, oil and filter, genuine renault wiper blades on all 3, cabin filter, spark plugs, all using genuine parts done by a specialist (with receipts to prove).
The car has also had a lot of new genuine parts fitted including brand new passenger side headlight, aerial and bonnet seal. I have purchased a (lightly used) driver's side headlamp which has not yet been fitted. Sadly driver's side RHD lamps are NLA new.
The car is pretty much bone stock with the only modification being a re trimmed steering wheel (a notorious weak point on these). It still has the standard air box, suspension, exhaust, original dealer number plates and all its original glass still fitted.
The car has covered 84, 000 miles which will go up slowly as I try to take it out at least once a week.
It had the cambelt/ dephaser/ water pump and aux belt changed in November 2020 at 83000 miles. Again with receipts for parts and labour.
Bodywork wise the car is very clean for its age, finished in iceburg silver (only 99 made) and is a real credit to its previous owners. It’s clearly been cherished. The only points to note are - rear quarter on drivers side has some laquer peel. The drivers door has some paint touch ups on the edge. And the windscreen has a crack at the bottom, I didn’t change this as it didn’t bother me and I liked the fact it was original. Only other thing to mention is the remote central locking doesn’t work, it’s a common issue on these, never really bothered me.
The car starts and stops great, very lively engine and is a sure investment with prices on the rise. This car is also ULEZ exempt (only ones on a Y plate meet the standard).
I'm only selling as I have an Italian car itch to scratch and am looking for a view early Panda with the hammock seats or an Italian built Ypsilon.
