1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 big block with RS (Rally Sport) Trim Pack and 4-speed manual gearbox. Finished in factory British Green metallic paint with RS hounds-tooth trim and original steel Rally wheels, fitted with BF Goodrich tyres. Factory Power Steering, front Power Disc Brakes and Headlight doors.
A complete nut and bolt bare body restoration was carried out in the US prior to its importation in 2011 and kept by the then owner as a show car. Since being in the care of the first and only UK owner it has undergone a full engine rebuild and the fitting of a MSI fuel injection system, this being the only deviation from factory. However, the 4-barrel Holly carburettor is supplied if a return to stock is required. The front control arms have been upgraded with poly bushings period style front 3-point retractable seatbelts with lap-belts to the rear have been fitted. Comes complete with a large History File covering the works undertaken and various invoices since its arrival in the UK.
As with all our classic cars it will be fully checked and serviced and supplied with a new MOT.
A quite exceptional car that presents in outstanding restored order throughout, covering just a few hundred miles since its restoration and engine re-build. Only the third big-block Camaro we have had in our hands in the last 10 years and in its original factory “British Green” certainly a hard car to improve on its looks and performance.
