Description
This is a 1978 Kawasaki Z1000 which has undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared. Its present owner decided he preferred the Z900 look with the four into four exhausts and round rear light so he bought the "Z Power" conversion kit and transformed the look further. It is also fitted with front brake double discs and Harrison Billet performance calipers giving modern stopping power.
It truly is the most fantastic bike which rides just as well as it looks with its electronic ignition and ultra-sonically cleaned and balanced carbs (see pic 12 for view of vacuum gauge). It is a joy to ride and is offered for sale very reluctantly.
The bike was imported from the USA 27 years ago and is not to be confused with the numerous "projects" on sale which usually require lots more time and money to get them to an acceptable standard. This bike has been beautifully restored and has also been well road tested to iron out any hidden issues.
Any bike can look good on photographs, but in this case it is actually as good as the photographs show. I would prefer interested parties to view the bike and hear it run - you will not be disappointed.
