The Series 2 Land Rover was launched in April 1958, and this vehicle was first registered on 12th of May 1958.
This Land Rover is rare in the fact that the first 1500 Series 2 88 inch Land Rover’ used the 2 Litre Series 1 petrol engine, often these early engines were replaced with the 2. 25 litre but this Land Rover uses the original engine and gearbox, ID numbers starting 1418xxxxx. I have owned this vehicle for 6 years, but during that time failing heath has limited the opportunity to drive and enjoy it. Since 2006 the vehicle has only covered 2000 miles (approx). Despite the lack of use the vehicle has been well maintained and runs as sweetly as it should. At some point the vehicle has had a coat of paint on the exterior, but retains its original charm. The chassis and bulkhead are in very good condition, with the vehicle being ready to drive and enjoy. If you require any further information please ask.
