Mercedes-Benz’ fabulously elegant coupés and convertibles originated in the models 220 SEb. The 300 SE, 250 SE and 280 SE showed subtle but continuous development. At the "Internationalen Automobil Ausstellung" (IAA) at Frankfurt/ Germany in 1969 you could find the well known but a bit dated special body types combined with the newly developed 3. 5 liter V8 engine. With a flatter engine hood, a wider chrome radiator had easily modernized the car. Well to do clients could buy this gorgeous 2-door until July 1971. Of the coupé, 3, 270 cars were made as well as 1, 232 convertibles.
Our classic Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3. 5 Coupé was delivered in Cologne and belonged to a Swiss enthusiast from 1995 until 2000. It has been with its current owner since 2008 and has been partially overhauled, e. g. the body was updated and newly painted. Its leather shows slight wear and tear, just the way you want it. In 2020, the brakes were updated and the rear axle sealed and the car went through a full Mercedes service. The classic is registered in Germany and is ready to go on endless outings!
