Chassis first registered 01. 07. 34. Built in the early '60s and raced in 750 MC events. Taken off the road in the '70s and then slowly rebuilt over subsequent years from 1991, completed in 2000.
Speedex 750 aluminium bodyshell, Speedex glass fibre seats. Tuned engine; Speedex alloy HC head, oversize inlets, polished ports, double valve springs, high lift Pigsty fast road cam, overbore oil pump, lightened / balanced flywheel, extra clutch springs, twin SU carbs., Speedex freeflow exhaust system, cross flow rad. with remote header. Ford water pump, electric fan and SU pump. Sychro 4-speed box, boxed side members on chassis, telescopic front shocks, flattened rear springs Speedex lowered independent front suspension, widened track, hydraulic A30 brakes. 5. 125 rear axle. Speedex 15" cast alloy wheels (5 off ), original Speedex tonneau.
Since acquiring the the car in 2009 it has been little used and in the last 5 years dry stored with the engine occasionally turned over. The car will need some re-commissioning.
This example is probably the most original Speedex in existence. It deserves a new owner to bring it back to its former condition and to use it as a road car or in mild competitive events such as the Bert Hadley Championship.
