Seller's description of the car:
I have owned the car since 2010. Since I bought the car in 2010, I have only driven about 7000 km in it, so it is not used very much. I think that's a shame, so I think it should pass on to a new enthusiast.
Some data about the car:
The car is 100% fully restored. All rusted parts have been replaced with new ones. Subsequently, the car has been sandblasted in the bottom and engine compartment and primed with epoxy. On top of the base paint, it has been given a layer of Upol Raptor bedliner on the bottom, fenders, luggage compartment and interior. The car has been painted all around in the original 501 Rosso colour. All the white is painted on (no stickers!) and there are 10+ layers of clear coat on top. The paintwork matches the old GTA racers from the time period. After painting, the car has had 6 liters of cavity wax in the rotisserie stand in all possible (and impossible) angles so it is really well distributed.
All bolts and screws have been sandblasted and electro-galvanized.
All other parts such as the undercarriage etc. have been sandblasted and wet painted in gloss black before the car has been assembled.
The car is built as a GTA replica with the special paintwork, GTA handle, GTA plinth for the number plate light, 15" GTA replica wheels, GTA front grill. In addition, the front bumper has been modified so that the middle part has been removed, and the corner parts that sit on the car have been moved closer to the car than originally. The rear bumper has been removed and eyelets have been fitted instead. The car is equipped with a full cage from Safety Devices (made especially for Alfaholics)
The engine is the original, but modified for more HP. It is bored up to 1400cc and fitted with lightweight pistons from Spruell Motorsport in the USA. The titanium connecting rods are made by Auto Verdi in Sweden. The cylinder head is ported and equipped with larger valves. A 123-ignition electronic ignition is fitted. The flywheel is turned down and is balanced together with the crankshaft by Westspeed in Varde. All bearings are of course new, and so are the water pump, fuel pump, etc. An electric radiator fan with thermostat has been fitted instead of the fixed fan which is driven by the crankshaft. The exhaust is a 2" complete stainless exhaust from Alfaholics. The camshafts are made by RJR (Richard Jameson) in the USA. The car has been rolled to 112. 8 HP at the wheels before installing the cams, so it makes a bit more today. Standard it produces 89 HP on the engine.
The gearbox has been refurbished with new synchromesh rings, and the rear is equipped with a lightweight gripper differential.
The brakes are 4 piston calipers with ventilated 280 mm discs.
Most parts on the car are brand new such as:
- All rubber parts
- Petrol tank
- Undercarriage (Koni + larger roll stabilizers, lowering springs)
- Mats
- Heaven
- Seat cover
- Seat cushions
- Steering wheel (Nardi)
- Lights (all)
- Door sides
- Etc….
As you can read, the car is uncompromisingly built and is super cool.
Alfaholics will charge £300, 000 for a car built in the same way, but with a peppy TS engine.
The construction price is higher than the selling price and thousands of working hours for DKK 0. :-)
The car is ready for hill climbs or track days, or can easily function as a cool Sunday car.
