Here we have a 1979 registered (and therefore both tax and MOT test exempt) 3000m. Totally restored by its last owner of ten years to an amazing standard, having been the recipient of the TVR car club “Trevor Wilkinson Trophy” for the best restoration of a TVR in 2017, a finalist in the Lancaster Insurance ‘Pride of Ownership’ award at the 2018 NEC Classic Car Show and also appeared as part of the “The Meguiars” car club showcase in 2021 at the NEC Classic Car Show.
Over the ten years of ownership the car has been fully restored and rebuilt to ‘show condition’ with a body off chassis refurb, full bodywork rectification and bespoke repaint, full interior retrim in Ingleston Black Leather, bespoke wiring loom installed, one-off veneer dash panel in ‘Mercedes Black/ Grey”. The Ford V6 engine was fully rebuilt in 2013 with 9. 5:1 compression ratio, unleaded cylinder heads, alloy timing gear, lightened flywheel gas-followed inlet manifold and so forth.
Finished in the stunning combination of Ferrari “Grigio Titanio” over Jaguar “Old English Cream” with a discreet pinstripe between the colours in TVR “Starmist Crimson” along with an original TVR 3000m logo in the same colour. Polished ‘Wolfrace’ wheels and staineless steel exhaust system are the finishing touches.
