Peak P38. The 30th Anniversary Edition was launched at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. Production was limited to 100 cars, fitted with the 215hp 4. 6 Petrolicious V8 with Automatic Gearbox. All 30th Anniversary cars were finished in Wimbledon Green Metallic with body-coloured bumpers and mirrors, green leather upholstery with cream piping, burr maple veneer trim, and a tailgate badge with a white background, reflecting the ‘Pearl’ anniversary of the Range Rover.
Included in the factory specification are electrically adjustable heated front seats with two-position driver’s seat memory, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, an electric sunroof, and air suspension.
This example also comes with rear seat entertainment, and factory fitted twin section folding walnut picnic tables, not the aftermarket retrofit ones. Only 50 of the 100 made came with this spec.
Today, the car has covered 108, 500 miles and boasts a full service history. Where stamps are missing from the book, invoices can be seen in their place with detailed breakdowns of expensive items replaced without hesitation to keep this vehicle in excellent mechanical condition. The car has just had an MOT carried out with no advisories.
The vehicle received a full service along with some maintenance just 3, 000 miles ago furthering its long stack of bills to keep this example in top condition.
The car also features upgraded brakes all around with vented discs. The suspension has been fully refurbished with Arnott stage 3 air suspension bags. It also has had a full stainless steel exhaust manufactured by Double S. Unlike many exhausts the back boxes fit flush with the bottom of the bumper and all that can be seen is the polished tips.
The P38 really didn’t get any better than this and, as an owner of a lesser variant myself, they today represent immense value over, usability and creature comforts over earlier models.
