HERE is my 1974 Triumph 2500 estate. She is a manual/ overdrive and consequently a real "driver's car!" She began life as a 2000 estate but has since had the 2. 5 unit dropped in. A thoroughly enjoyable drive as you would imagine. The previous owner kept this old girl for 20 years and there is plenty of history with the car. Structurally and mechanically very good although some of the paint work is best described as being a little sketchy and so don't expect a 9k example for the money. Clearly the emphasis during the past couple of decades has been on the driving side of the vehicle as opposed to being overly concerned about cosmetics. All the same, a highly presentable example of a mega rare model which could easily be improved with some TLC.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 48-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply.
