In 2010, Ducati and AMG signed a partnership contract during the Los Angeles Motor Show. With this agreement, AMG became an official sponsor for Ducati in the Moto GP World Championship, and both AMG and Ducati marketing departments decided to materialize this partnership with the production of a limited-production motorcycle: the Diavel AMG. The 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show showed the first introduction of this special edition model on the Mercedes stand alongside the brand's new models. Based on the Carbon version, this Diavel differs from the standard version with its 5-spoke rims, carbon/ aluminium air vents and an AMG-branded exhaust. To complete the set, a numbered plate is attached to the tank.
The motorcycle offered for sale today is the one exhibited on the Mercedes-AMG stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is the prototype of the production version. The bike was regularly used for press events and other shows. Following the announcement of the takeover of Ducati by Audi in April 2012, AMG decided to cancel its partnership with the Italian manufacturer. This Diavel was therefore recovered by Ducati and sold to the owner in 2012. It was registered on October 31, 2012, and carefully preserved in the seller's showroom. With 80 km on the odometer, this Diavel n°0000 is understood to be in almost new condition. The motorcycle is sold with an Italian Registration Document (cancelled).
Please note that this vehicle has less than 6, 000 kilometres recorded on the odometer, is considered to be a New Means of Transport under EU law and will incur a VAT liability if sold to an EU country other than Italy. The current Italian VAT rate of 22% will be applied on the hammer price and added to the invoice total.

Buyers' Premium and Charges
Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge what is known as a Buyer's Premium. Buyer's Premium on all Automobilia lots will adhere to Bonhams group policy:
25% up to £50, 000 of hammer price,
20% from £50, 001 to £1, 000, 000 of hammer price,
and 12% on the balance thereafter. This applies to each lot purchased and is subject to VAT.
For Motor Cars and Motorcycles a 15% Buyer's Premium is payable on the first £50, 000 of the final Hammer Price of each Lot, and 12% on any amount by which the Hammer Price exceeds £50, 000. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
Some lots may be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price. These lots will be clearly marked with the relevant symbol printed beside the lot number in the catalogue.
