This car was bought new and kept by its long term owner from his 17th birthday until his death in 2020.
Mike Dobson customised his car with all the modifications available at the time. It was then featured in Custom Car magazine in 1974, a copy will be with the sale of this car.
Bill Blydenstein famous for his race / rally Vauxhall engines actually drove this car which has his signed engine, endorsing it in the magazine article.
After Mikes death Salvage Hunters bought the car as can be seen in Series 6 , Episode 3 and painstakingly put back this car to Mikes specification. Working 8 track , freshly restored beautiful veneer dash, genuine Dunlop D1, s , renewed custom headlining , with matching gorgeous stitched roll bar at a great cost, totally unique & gets attention everywhere it goes.
The body is totally rust free . Still has most of its original paint.
Engine bay resprayed while engine was removed.
All underneath has been restored where necessary, new brake’s throughout, fuel lines , new brakes lines , The original Koni shocks fitted in the 70’s have been painstakingly restored too by ex F1 mechanic Sean of SC parts UK,, supplied with all test paperwork as shown in the programme.
New clutch & engine was removed and rebuilt by well known Vauxhall engineer Adrian Miller.

Vauxhall requested this car to be displayed in its Heritage museum.
