This is a fantastic old Land Rover which I have thoroughly enjoyed owning for the last 3 and a half years. It was fitted with a reconditioned 2. 25 petrol engine and gearbox in 2018 prior to my ownership and I have maintained it very well mechanically since then, including new exhaust and fuel tank, clutch master and slave cylinders and various other bits and bobs, including oil changes etc when required. It runs and drives extremely well (for a Landie!) and I even used it as a daily driver for a while one Summer and it was very reliable.
It is registered on a 2a chassis plate, hence the year of registration, but long before my ownership it has acquired various Series 3 parts (dashboard/ front wings). I assume that at some point someone built the car up and used whatever parts were available at the time. This will obviously put off the purists but if you just want a good looking, solid, Series Landie then this is well worth a look. It has Overdrive, Fairey free-wheeling hubs and is MOT and Tax exempt.
