Leaving the Works on 9th June 1933 originally in black with green leather, wings and wheels this car appears to have an original Type II Cross & Ellis body only fourteen of which were produced, this being the eighth with only a handful surviving today. The rear mounted Spare wheel is probably a later addition as it is not mentioned on the Build Card.
With only four owners, one for around fifty years the car the car retains much originality and charm whilst being well used and maintained,
Cross and Ellis were the default coachbuilder for Alvis tourers, located locally and producing sleek lightweight bodies resulting in better performance.
This one is road ready and its 2. 5 litre six cylinder engine produces 87 bhp good for around 90 mph in a car ready to be used and enjoyed.
