Description
The 3rd series of Golf was introduced in Cabriolet layout in 1993 to feature a series of passive safety and comfort upgrades. The large anti roll bar was supplemented with side protection system and dual airbags. The convertible top could also be fully folded in within 20 sec from the driver’s seat by the electrohydraulic system.
The Cabriolet offered was ordered by a diplomat in Paris in Bright Green Pearl metallic with black leather interior. A decade later he moved to Athens where he continued to maintain the Golf at the local VW dealership. Soon after it became part of a private collection to be preserved and driven on occasion. It is now offered fully serviced with recent technical inspection.
