2007 Westfield GTM Sports Spyder 1 of only 30 made, 160 BHP, Only For Sale

A GTM Spyder? We can imagine that you have never heard of the model, which is not surprising. GTM goes back to 1967, when Bernard Cox and his friend Jack Hosker build a sports car based on Mini parts. It will be the Cox GTM. The men don’t know what hit them when demand starts to rise and the kits are put together in the garage in Hazel Grove, Stockport, as fast as they can.
In the years that followed, the company was sold several times and the name was changed to just GTM. The 1980s are upon us and with Rover’s K-series engine, GTM is doing good business, with models such as the Rossa and K3. We jump in time to 1998, when, after several years of development, the Libra comes onto the market, a closed lightweight sports car in which all parts are screwed directly onto the GRP monocoque. A few years later the open Spyder appears and that is the version you see here. This red is a late GTM Spyder delivered on December 1, 2007.
That’s extra nice because in December GTM was sold to Potenza Sports Cars, also owner of a brand that, unlike GTM, we don’t have to explain: Westfield.

And so this GTM Spyder in Brummen is waiting for a new owner who is looking for a very special and special sports car with fantastic performances. This Spyder, of which only thirty were built, comes from the first owner, who first got into this two-seater at the end of 2007, which weighs only 770 kilograms. You can imagine that the extremely low weight in combination with 160 hp from the 1. 8 VVC engine provides more than appealing performance, and then we have not even mentioned the amazing experience in this incredibly Spartan roadster with mid-engine.

Often a car comes with documentation, but only rarely is there a complete email exchange of the order and purchase, the discussion of the implementation and countless drawings of (technical) parts. Everything is meticulously worked out and kept up to date, right down to brochures of the wheels, seats, etcetera. Documents that are fantastic value with this car. In addition, there is a lot of documentation available about the cars from which the technology originates, such as a workshop manual and technical information.
Major maintenance was carried out in 2020, during which the timing belt and tires were also renewed. Get in and leave with an incredible amount of fun, with this special sports car.
