It's impressive, doesn’t feel like a ’20s bike - solid, dependable and fast. Solo it pulls so strong to 85mph+ but still perfect at low speeds. Starts easily and does everything well and comfortably.
Engine, gearbox and everything else was fully restored in 2004 and used till Covid, probably about 5000 miles including a continental trip solo. Many photos and notes of the restoration are available.
Apart from the startling colour, also not original are later seat, for safety 19” wired-on rims and modified front brake (works quite well!), 12volt regulated electrics from converted stock generator. Rear-light not standard though stock headlamp (with quartz halogen bulb) plus period spotlight. You really can light-up the road ahead, and the electric Klaxon is fab! Putting back to near stock would not be difficult, and the front fender valances are stored.
