Description
I bought this Compact in April 2022 having fancied owning one for many years. The original owner bought it new from Hexagon BMW and kept it garaged in a gated development in Essex. She kept it until 2022, always servicing it at BMW dealers. She was advised to scrap it due to the high cost of replacing the window regulators(!), which is when a dealer employee stepped into save it. Unfortunately, he registered it in his name, so I'm listed as the third owner.
I have replaced the window regulators with genuine parts, tended to a small bit of surface rust, fitted period Hexagon plates (I have the originals), treated the car to a set of Falken tyres and replaced the bulb for the heater controls. I also had it serviced at Westerly BMW in Exeter. It passed its MOT in September with no advisories.
It's probably one of the best BMW Compacts in the country, with a manual gearbox, air-con, an almost perfect bodywork and the later, 1. 9-litre engine. I'm in no particular hurry to sell it, because I love it, but needs* must.
