We are very pleased to offer a fantastic example of a 1993 Mazda MX-5 MK1. Finished in Classic red. Demand for original MK1 MX-5's continues to rise and its no surprise as these are fantastic cars to own and drive. The Twin Cam 1. 6 engine pushes out 114 BHP and matches the sublime handling and gives it plenty of power and a real grin factor as well as being so easy to drive.
Our MX-5 has lived a charmed life and has only covered 77k in 30 years with only 2 previous owners, the last owner has cherished it since 2004. This is a rare original UK car, registered new by A. F Tann Mazda in Surrey and it still wears its original dealer number plate. It is accompanied with a comprehensive service history, indicating 24 services since new, this has also been detailed in chronological order. It also has its original handbooks, and service book. The cam belt and water pump have also just been changed and it is fully serviced for the new owners peace of mind. It also has both of its original keys.
On the road it is very easy to feel why these cars have a global following. The engine is very sweet and fires instantly and is mated to a smooth five speed transmission and it just feels as if its ready to be driven anywhere. Drop the roof down and the fun begins! It also has a tonneau cover. Power is available right through the rev band and is accompanied with taught and precise handling. This model also benefits from power steering and its original alloys and suspension set up, offering the pure original driving experience.
The interior is in fantastic condition. The seats are showing very little ware and the same can be said about the switch gear. It has a period Clarion cassette player , MOMO steering wheel and electric windows. This MX-5 has the feel of a very well cared for car.
This Mazda has gleaming Classic Red paintwork which belies its vintage with only minor signs of use. The rear arches are solid and the correct drain holes are present and correct. . The roof is also in fantastic condition with a glass rear window. It is fully serviced and has long MOT so it is ready to be driven and enjoyed and appreciated.
