Top of the range from Opel in the early 60's, this car has a 2. 6 petrol engine, smooth but powerful as a 6 cylinder engine should be. It has a manual gearshift with 3 speeds, but thanks to its torque it can be driven most of the time in 3rd gear with no complaint.
When I bought the car about 3 years ago, it had an intensive mechanic update, with new brake fluid line (dot 5), a new battery, new exhaust pipe, 4 new tires as well as some other new parts.
Although the car is now mechanically sound and safe, it could improve aesthetically with a new paint, as it shows some signs of superficial rust.
Average consumption of petrol is 12l/ 100 Km (20 mpg).
