1937 Citroën Traction Faux Cabriolet
Châssis : 200178
Coque : AC 3377
Moteur : AP10711
On June 22, 1937, the Citroën factory at Quai de Javel released the black “faux-cabriolet” presented here, which was acquired by a young woman then aged 24, Miss Marie Angebaud.
Barely married and a young mother, the year 1939 arrives and the war breaks out.
The Traction was stored on hold at the bottom of a barn while waiting for the end of the conflict.
6 years later the car went back on the road.
In 1960, following a lubrication issue, the engine was replaced by an “11 Performance” version as the gearbox in 1974.
The car will continue to be very regularly used by its owners during Citroën and other rallies.
In 2018, following the death of its owner, then aged 104, the “faux-cabriolet” offered here was acquired by the current and second owner. The latter will have engine, paint and brake repairs undertaken.
This car is for sale with French title and large file of invoices .
