Bought as a stock bike before being dropped off with LV Custom London with a brief to build a classic styled scrambler, with patina and character, whilst maintaining the reliability, comfort and performance of a modern bike.
The bike has done 5, 600 miles and has been meticulously maintained. The air-cooled twin sounds incredible with the air filter and exhaust combination, and turns heads everywhere you take it.
Aesthetics
The tank & chopped front fender have been stripped back and partially painted, with the number boards painted to replicate the patina of a classic scrambler. The rear fender was chopped, smoothed and had all the OEM lighting removed, alongside a brushed paint finish to tie into the rest of the build. Motogadget brake lights, number plate light and indicators have been fitted all round, with the KOSO analogue speedo further improving the retro looks without losing rider functions. Finished with a Yamaha OEM skid plate, removable Flyscreen, classic rear mirror and coke bottle grips, as well as a re-trimmed chocolate leather seat, this bike is ready for trails and roads alike.
Performance
The factory loose ball bearing headset has been swapped out for a tapered sealed unit, and the plastic fork bushes have been upgraded to solid metal units. The bars and clamp have been upgraded to oversized PRO Taper performance pieces. Fitted with a Delkevic bullnose exhaust, K&N air filte, and Booster Plug, this Yamaha offers enhanced sound and smooth performance. Completed with a Baron rear suspension riser kit, the bike has increased rear wheel clearance should the new owner wish to fit bigger tyres.
If you're looking for the sound, style and charm of a classic desert sled, with the functionality and reliability of a modern Japanese motorcycle - it doesn't get much better in our opinion. The bike comes with 2 exhausts - one with baffles, one without, 3 keys, paperwork, and the dateless plate is included.
