I bought this 230S 9 years ago. The car was imported from California and has never really been used much during its life in the UK. The advantage of that is its virtually rust free, very solid all around except for some rust to the boot floor caused by leakage rather than indicative of more serious issues. I replaced the broken engine it came with with one from the same model 230S. The new engine is in outstandingly good condition. I fitted new carbs as I could not get the original ones to work properly. (You can have the old ones if you want them). The carpets are new and the seats are firm, no tears or damage and made from MBtex so they should be good for another 1000 years. The car is complete, starts on the button and runs very strong. The downside is the paint, which is mostly original, but very dull and faded, with several grazes and imperfections. The car has new brakes, new correct tyres.
