This stunning 1966 327/ 350 horse C2 arrived in the UK IN 1998 and has had just the one elderly owner for the last 19 years. To my knowledge this is the first time this C2 has been advertised anywhere in the UK. Whilst in this gentleman's ownership the car underwent an open chequebook restoration resulting in the coveted CCCUK Gold Award Certificate being awarded at the UK Nationals.
So, this is a number matching 327cu inch 350 horse manual L79 car. The L79’s power output came thanks to a factory fitted Holley four-barrel carburetor, a dual-plane factory aluminum intake manifold, 2. 02-inch intake valves and 1. 60-inch exhaust valves, a forged steel crankshaft, and an 11. 0:1 compression ratio. What a combination and all still in place under the hood.
The car is in its original stunning colour of Nassau Blue with white/ blue interior, all quite, quite superb. The body is super straight and detailed very well. Most things you see are new, emblems, door handles, fuel flip lid, all weather-seals, the complete interior and I do mean complete, even both the main dash pods have been replaced, seat belts, door cards complete with all new crank handle/ nobs etc, you name it and it has been renewed. The soft-top is virtually as new and all outer brightwork has been machined polished. The chrome-work throughout has been re-plated and a brand new front grill installed, price one of those up if you dare. The headlights revolve on command, all gauges work as so do the interior vanity lights.
OPTIONS. Here's another reason this car is a cut above the rest. How about N14 Side Exhausts, Knock-off Alloys all in perfect condition, factory power steering and get this - factory N36 Telescopic steering column.
The car has just been recommissioned after being mothballed in recent years by the elderly owner, full engine service, brakes overhauled etc. It is a first time starter, ticks over nicely and drives like a C2 should. Be assured, there are C2's advertised round the £75K bracket that won't come close to this car's condition.
