Description
INT. CODE: ARI00004
For many motorbike enthusiasts, the Ariel brand is linked to the innovative 1931 Ariel Square Four 500 cc designed by Briton Edward Turner, later to become BSA.
The name Ariel takes its point from the ethereal spirit of Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest', to emphasise its main prerogative: lightness.
During the Second World War, Ariel also made bicycles for the British Army and was later bought by BSA.
