This Seville was sold new at Delaware Motor Sales of Wilmington DE. The original front dealer plate and dealer logo on the trunk lid are still in place. Reportedly, it remained with the original owner until 2007. We recently acquired this beautiful Cadillac and it is clearly evident that it has been lovingly maintained and stored its entire life. We've owned many of these cars, this one is the best we've ever had. It currently has 21, 800 miles. It looks, shows and drives like a 21, 000 mile Cadillac. In addition it is one of the most well documented Cadillac's we have seen. Included is extensive service history from the previous owner, original sales documents, original window sticker, all of the books, service manuals, two sets of keys and of course the Astro roof tool.
The Seville Elegante offered Cadillac customers qualities and refinements one might expect on a custom-crafted automobile. The duo-tone exterior finish was offered in just two color combinations for 1978, a subtle dignity exclusive to the Elegante. A full-length brushed chrome upper body molding accentuated the Seville's classic lines, and featured an etched black grooving for added distinction. Chrome Elegante script was placed on the roof sail panels, just behind a Cadillac wreath and crest emblem. Authentic chrome-plated Wire Wheels (not wheel covers) with long-laced spokes were supplied by Dunlop, a British firm, and set the Elegante apart from others. A Cadillac crest appeared on the hubs, set against a black background. A unique rear window molding provided additional detailing.
Inside the Elegante, a Seville interior like no other. Sierra Grain Leather in Antique Gray appeared on the seat bolsters, and breathable, perforated leather inserts were used in the pleated center cushion and seat back areas. A border of soft, suede-like trim surrounded the pleated areas. The front seats were 40/ 40 Dual Comfort seats, and provided storage pockets on the seat backs for the convenience of rear seat passengers.
A functional console separated the front seats, and included a rear floor courtesy light, and a light in the storage compartment, which had provisions for writing tablet and pen, a mobile telephone installation, and storage of tapes and other personal items. Driver and front passenger share a center, fold-down armrest for comfort.
Additional interior distinctions included perforated trim on the door panels, and the steering wheel rim was covered with color-coordinated leather to match the darker shade of gray used on the steering wheel hub, column, and instrument panel.
This specific example is the most complete one we have ever seen. In the center console it has the original Cadillac crested pen as well as the Cadillac crested notepad. It also includes the original Cadillac eight track tape that came with the car. Also included are the original carpeted floor mats, the trunk mat, temporary spare tire, temporary spare tire cover. Even the tube to fill the temporary spare tire is still wrapped and its original foam and has never been used. The temporary spare tire shows no evidence of ever being on the ground.

As with every car from Pedigree Motorcars this Seville received a thorough inspection prior to us putting it on the market. The work that we had performed includes:

• Brake fluid service
• Power steering fluid changed
• Cleaning of the washer jets
• Replace washer pump
• Wheel alignment
• Replace one of the fuel pumps
• Repair Various air conditioning vacuum leaks
This Seville is now ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed. It is without question the most impressive Seville Elegante we have had. This one also includes the factory Astro roof, a very rare option for Cadillac's in the 70s. This Seville is for the discriminating buyer who's looking for the very best. There are very few remaining that are like this and for the true enthusiast, they will appreciate its overall quality.
